Cybersec Europe 2026

The Connector will be attending Cybersec Europe 2026, taking place on 20-21 May 2026 at Brussels Expo. This is one of Europe's most established gatherings for IT security, data management and cloud professionals, drawing together CISOs, security architects, compliance officers, policymakers and technology providers under one roof, and this year, on home ground for many of our network.

The programme is structured around ten thematic pillars that reflect the full scope of what modern organisations are navigating: Cybersecurity Strategy, Human Firewall, Digital Infrastructure, Data Protection and Privacy, Identity and Access Management, Resilience and Recovery, Compliance and Regulations, Orchestration and AI, Operational Technology Security, and Sovereignty. New for 2026 is a dedicated OT Theatre focused on industrial and critical infrastructure security, alongside an expanded Tech Theatre with hands-on sessions and live demos.

Speakers confirmed include Belgium's Minister of Defence Theo Francken, Ericsson Head of Security Connie McIntosh, ethical hacker Ken Munro, Mario Beccia from the Cybersecurity Council of the EU, and ENISA's Jo De Muynck, among many others. The combination of government, industry and research voices makes this event unusually well-rounded for a single programme. Registration is free for visitors.

For fintechs and financial institutions, cybersecurity is not a back-office topic. With NIS2, DORA, and the Cyber Resilience Act reshaping the compliance landscape across Europe, the conversations happening at Cybersec Europe are directly relevant to how financial services organisations manage risk, choose technology partners, and build long-term operational resilience.

If you are attending and want to connect, we would be glad to meet. Brussels in May is always a good reason to have the right conversations in the right place.
